IMPORTANT: November 1, 2012
As of today our project is closed.
It has been taken over by
Naviteh
company, owner of MPC license from GARMIN.
Their product, launched today, is called
Moldova NT Roads Atlas & Topo 2012
and is a lot more advanced than what we have done
so far.
We are very happy and wish Naviteh company nothing but success!
Cheers for a better map product!
All legitimate owners of our map have been accepted by Naviteh
and will get free of charge the new product, as well as its updates. |

major map update:

massive increase in the
number of points of interest (POIs), mostly in rural areas.
We added 10
thousand (!) new POIs, which is a 40 percent increase over all POIs
accumulated so far.
Of them, two thirds are in rural areas! Therefore, number
of POIs
now reached a
record high of
35780
(here we are not counting the 11710 POIs with
phone numbers from
Kompass-Moldova database, included earlier)
●
completion of the detail level increase for polygons of forestry and parks.
We added
about 1 thousand
square kilometers. Consequently, green areas have reached 4.5
thousand square kilometers,
an increase of about one third over what we had before!
●
given the notable expansion
of Starnet's free wifi area in Chisinau (about 10 km2!),
we decided to plot
these areas on our map.
