   the maps in Garmin format can be installed on Garmin
   handheld GPS units, as well as on any PC or PDA
   (Palm/Pocket PC/Symbian) but with a Garmin GPS, 
   and the software is freely available from Garmin**

*  Please note that one license will work on one GPS

** This software will not work on PCs or PDAs connected to
     non-Garmin GPS units. But if you want to use the maps
     without a GPS, this is possible (all the mapping features
     in the software will be available - viewing/scalling, search,
     etc., but the function of tracing your current location by
     satellites will obviously be disabled).
